US Environmental Policy and Circularity
The US is being influenced by the EU’s Plastics Strategy that was launched by the European Commission in 2018 with a goal to transform the way plastic products are designed, produced, used, and recycled. Globally there is increased concern about climate change, safer chemicals, and plastic pollution. This presentation will cover some of the US policies that are working to address these concerns, highlight renewed interest in biobased materials and products, and connect these to aspects of the hygiene industry.
