BIOGRAPHY

Miquel Ramírez focused his studies in the Chemical Engineering specialty. During his studies, he worked in different chemical industries related to surface treatment , starting with research in the group ATO-FINA (Multi-national petrol company). In 2001, he started his career at CHEMIPOL in the technical assistance department focusing on the promotion of additives and preservatives for coatings and paints in Catalonia, Spain. In 2005, Miquel started giving technical support to the sales agents & distributors throughout Spain. During this time, he received his Masters in Marketing and Business management at a private university in Terrassa (EUNCET BUSINESS SCHOOL). Post his Masters, Miquel’s role at Chemipol evolved to being responsible for marketing incorporating product management for several markets. He currently supports markets including Polymerization, Ceramic tile, Water treatment (Cooling circuits & Boilers division), Fertilizers, Fuel industry, Household & Cosmetics. Miquel’s core focus has always been microbial control & biocides application. In 2014, Miquel’s responsibilities grew to encompass managing their Cosmetics Export Division. He is the product manager giving technical support to more than 75 countries around the world helping thousands of cosmetic brands to develop sustainable, efficient, and safe formulations.

Preservation is a critical component of any wipes development. Preservatives are functional additives that must match the marketing approach of each and every wet wipes project.
