Sustainable Innovation & Manufacturing: The Impacts of Reducing our CO2 Footprint While Targeting CO2 Neutrality by 2035
How a company tackles sustainability challenges and climate neutrality differs from one company to the next. In this presentation, Welsh will present Freudenberg Performance Materials’ global approach to sustainable innovation and manufacturing.
Sustainability has two dimensions at Freudenberg – a footprint and a handprint. The footprint is defined as how the company shapes its processes and systems to reduce consumption. The handprint are all of the products and solutions that allow its customers to manufacture more efficiently and sustainably.
Freudenberg is committed to be a climate neutral company by 2035. With this goal in mind, the company has created a four-stage strategy resulting in energy reduction, electrifying remaining energy needs, purchasing green energy and offsetting CO2 emissions.
Providing examples of product improvements with a reduced carbon footprint and green energy manufacturing innovation, Freudenberg Group is contributing to sustainability worldwide.
